PALERMO BOUNCE BACK WITH WIN AT PERUGIA

PALERMO BOUNCE BACK WITH WIN AT PERUGIA

A goal in each half by George Puscas helped Palermo overcome Perugia to put an end to our three-match winless run.

There were just two minutes on the clock when the Romanian grabbed the opener, rising to head in Aleksandar Trajkovski's free kick.

Puscas repeated the trick at the start of the second half, this time with Andrea Rispoli as the provider.

Alberto Brignoli came to the rescue with a number of fine saves, including one from the penalty spot.

Perugia did finally pull a goal back through Federico Melchiorri in the 89th minute but Roberto Stellone's men held on for the win.

Victory takes Palermo up top spot on 40 points awaiting results elsewhere.
