STELLONE CALLS FOR FOCUS AHEAD OF CROTONE TRIP

Roberto Stellone has urged his Palermo players to keep their concentration levels high as they prepare to face Crotone on Tuesday night.

“We need maximum concentration and focus tomorrow,” said the boss, speaking in his pre-match press conference on Monday. “We need to go out there and show the right attitude. I’ll rotate the players seeing as we have two games close together. We’re pleased to have got some players back. Physically and mentally, we’re in better shape. “

Stellone acknowledged that Crotone – who are second from bottom in Serie B – could prove tricky opposition for his side.

“Crotone aren’t in good form and tomorrow is the match of their lives,” he said. “That said, we know it’s in our own hands. Promotion to Serie A depends on tough games like tomorrow. Our performances against Perugia and Brescia give us a lot of confidence. We’ve been the victims of a bit of bad luck. We need to show the same determination we showed against Brescia.”

Last but not least, Stellone issued a rallying cry ahead of what promises to be a close-fought run-in.

“We knew that Verona and Benevento were going to be capable of fighting until the end,” he said. “We don’t need to rush – there are lots of points up for grabs. We mustn’t be afraid of anyone.”
